This is H.O.G.
The Harley Owners Group or H.O.G, was founded in 1983 by the Harley-Davidson Motor Company in Milwaukee, USA. The idea was to create loyalty and to strengthen the ties between the factory, the dealers and the customers.
The membership of H.O.G. Europe, which is the prerequisite for becoming a member of a local chapter, is a service to members and creates an opportunity for both Harley-Davidson and their dealers to promote motorcycling and stimulate Harley riders into a greater community.
An important thing behind the idea was to create a positive image of Harley-Davidson and that group of motorcycle owners. It is of course also part of Harley-Davidson's marketing of its products.
Europe
Europe joined the H.O.G. World Wide in 1991, when a separate European office was established in Frankfurt, to serve the European members.
Among other things, they organized the "European Rally", which in 1996 in Rotterdam, gathered around 7,000 participants.
The following year, in 1997, the Lyngdal Chapter in Norway arranged the "Northern European Rally", to which approx. 8,000 HD enthusiasts came.
H.O.G. is the world's largest factory-sponsored motorcycle club with over one million members worldwide.
In Europe there are about 100,000 members. Sweden's first Chapter was formed in Gothenburg in 1993, Stockholm's Chapter was formed in 1998.
